How did you start snowboarding?
In my hometown Warth at the Arlberg you have one or two possibilities in winter of being self-realized. Either skiing or snowboarding. I have decided in favour of boarding since I simply wanted to make something else as most boys in my hometown. But I primarily wanted to make it better. So I have gone riding in winter almost every day to develop my skills further and exercise new tricks. The kickers got bigger and the airs still higher from year to year. But this did not suffice yet for a long time. We didn't want to shovel the kickers by hand any more. So my brothers and I got us a real snowcat. From this day we could shape really fine ramps. This was the beginning for Patriks career as a snowboard professional so far. Now I'd like to express a quite special gratitude to all my sponsors who accompany me already for long time and were involved in my development substantially.

How long do you already stand on the board?
Long enough to become one of the best riders in Austria and probably also Europe. ;-)

What's your favourite spot and why?
Warth - because we have unbelievably snow masses in winter that you can do either build huge kickers or go easy backcountry.
Val Senales (South Tyrol) because of the big kicker on the glacier.

What else do you do beside snowboarding?
In winter I try to do boarding and take care of my sponsors. Now you may asked what does it take to take care of my sponsors. Here the answer into shortened form: Care for contact to my fans through my web site www.patrik-huber.at, doing photo sessions, throwing myself over gigantic kickers, take part at contests and last but not least always be there for you.

Any plans for the future?
I will go boarding as long as possible. Perhaps I then will support young riders like myself and look or motivate them on their way to become a professional. I can imagine to do this as a team manager for a snowboard manufacturer.

We pay you a trip. Whom do you take along? And where does it go?
My helt, my Nitro snowboard, my gear and of course an energy drink, so that I can give still more than 130% performance. Right, cash would not be bad either! To spend lots of money and having fun California or Canada would be good choice.
And not to be forgotten: A copter and a cameraman who documents around the trip to produce even a cooler video than this of Travis Rice (which one is meant?).

What do you think about...
... Family: Nothing is more important ...
... Snowboard: I can't without ...
... Friends: For the life ...
... Life's goal: Passing my knowledge on to young riders and supporting them on their way ...
... Internet: What is this?
